Happy, February 1, Everyone! When my friend Stephanie from Mrs. D's Corner asked if I wanted to participate in this fun winter celebration, I said, "Where do I sign up?".
Today I am going to be sharing three of the activities I like to do for Valentine's Day, you know, one of my favorite winter holidays out there! You are also going to get to download a huge winter e-book filled with a ton of wonderful and engaging activities to spice up your winter planning!
My favorite Valentine's Day activity to do with my students is this All About Valentine's Day Lapbook!
There are a ton of interactive pieces that go inside of this lapbook! I usually do a piece a day with my class for about a week and a half. There is also a nonfiction reader that is included so the students have information to reference! You can get this lapbook on sale in the bundle too, which includes a variety of holidays.
Last week we worked on the cover because I was just so excited to kick start the lapbook with my class and because I love, love, love Valentine's Day!
A second activity that we do together is write a sweet note to friends every Friday during the months of January and February. I have a basket of hearts and the students pick one out. The must write to a different friend each Friday (you could already have a to: line filled out) and I collect the notes. On Valentine's Day these sweet little hearts get passed out!
A third activity I do with my class is read these two books with my class. I usually do a ton of read-alouds each month, but these two are my favorites for February!
