Glue Stick Cap Management

Yes, I am writing about glue stick caps. Yes, I actually have to manage this! And if I do, I bet other people do too!
I started this little management system of the "Take One" & "Leave One" bins because my students L.O.V.E. classroom jobs! Here's how it works:

1. When a student is ready to throw their glue stick away, they place the cap in the "Leave One" bin.
2. At the end of each week, I have one student wash the caps so they are fresh and ready to go.
3. If a student looses a cap, they can take one out of the "Take One" bin.
The washer takes the whole bin over and washes for about 3-5 minutes. I wish that I could get this excited about washing the dishes!
*Disclaimer: I try really hard to watch out for students who constantly take the caps out of the take one bin! After all, we want to be building a sense of responsibility with our students!
