New Year, New Goals for 2015 {with Mrs. D's Corner}

Today I'm linking up with Mrs. D's Corner to share some of my New Year's Goals. I can't believe January is right around the corner! It's always smart to plan ahead, right?
Personal: I'd really like to get my cooking back into control. You know, healthy ingredients... We also have a very beautiful elliptical in our basement that could use a good dusting off. I think to motivate me, I am going to take some before pictures... Let's see if that works!

Professional: I always get so {secretly} jealous when I see all of the Blogger Meetup photos! I wish I lived around more TpTers and I would love to meet some of my teacher friends! Especially those from our collaborative blog, The Elementary Entourage! Shout Out to my Girls!

Planning: I have lovely bins that are leveled with all kinds of books in my classroom, but there are no stickers on the books. I have been trusting my students to put the books back in the bins where they got them. Realistically, that would even be a challenge for me. 2015 is the year of book leveling!

Organization: It's funny how I could find anything in my classroom even though it's not as tidy as some of my fellow teacher's rooms. I have always aspired to having one of those classrooms where you could walk in on a random Thursday afternoon and it looked like it was Open House. This year I'm going to get a little lot more organized.

Students: I love my students but some things are just non-negotiable, especially when we return in 2015. I have high expectations for my students and 2 things I will be looking for everyday will be for them to write their first and last name on their papers and some handwriting improvement. I know they can do it!

Motto: Isn't there a saying, "It takes a village...." Well, teachers are part of that village and I think we're all in this together! I'm so excited to see what 2015 brings and how I can work with others in an effort to give my students everything they deserve from me!
